I am Enzo Torrone, and I have spent the last 24 years delivering real results for our community. As the former Secretary and Treasurer of the York Eglinton BIA, and the founder and 19-year Chair of the Fairbank Village BIA, I have built the relationships and the experience it takes to get things done.
I am running for City Council because Ward 8 needs an experienced leader who will fight for our neighbourhoods every single day, not a career politician, but a neighbour who has already proven he will show up. I have worked directly with residents and businesses across Fairbank, Caledonia, and Eglinton West to solve local problems and will bring that neighbourhood-first focus to City Hall.
For too long, Ward 8 residents have felt the gap between what is promised at City Hall and what is actually delivered on our streets. Construction drags on, costs climb, and feedback disappears into a one-way conversation.

Enzo will fight for growth that fits, with roads, schools, and parks built before the towers, genuine consultation on projects like the Lawrence Plaza redevelopment and local plans in Fairbank, and homes that families, young workers, and seniors can actually afford.
Less time in traffic, more time with family. Enzo will demand strict accountability to finish the Eglinton Crosstown and end the delays, smarter traffic management to cut gridlock, and real coordination so roads, transit, buses, and bike lanes finally work together.
Audit City spending and respect your tax dollars. Ward 8 pays among the highest property taxes in Toronto, so Enzo will scrutinise every line of the budget, cut bureaucratic waste, freeze non-essential spending, and protect the basics: road repairs, snow removal, and park maintenance.
A City Hall that actually listens. Enzo will hold regular town halls across the ward, run a responsive local office with real staff, and keep an open Community Voice platform so residents are consulted, not just informed.
Our main streets are the heart of Ward 8. Drawing on 24 years of BIA leadership, Enzo will win rapid relief for businesses hit by Crosstown construction, faster permits, and a real city-BIA partnership that brings shoppers back to Eglinton Avenue West, Fairbank Village, and surrounding commercial strips.
